PR Vision maker. Idea catalyst. Active Mentor. Connector.
Passion, strategic out-of-the-box thinking, and Nancy Moon’s unique vision distinguish her in today’s sophisticated media landscape. For over 20 years, Moon’s influential work in high profile events and charitable causes, top consumer products, entertainment, well-known sports figures, business, and green initiatives has garnered recognition for its creativity and effectiveness. Her work is unmistakable.
Ranging from the large established corporation to the entrepreneur, Moon’s insight and experience has helped to create unique media attention for her clients.
Moon PR works with high-visibility philanthropic agencies such as: the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Meryl Streep’s Mothers and Others, and Scholarship America. Her impressive array of corporate work includes three years as an agency-of-record for Microsoft Corporation’s New York City Public Affairs initiatives. Her vision to take ‘the big idea’ to small business owners in New York brought Microsoft’s Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer to speak to the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce. Moon was a true catalyst when she connected Microsoft with scientists during the Explorer’s Club’s BioBlitz in Central Park, resulting in 100 million media impressions.
From day one, Moon’s influence as a connector of the top “in-the-know” and the upscale brought great media attention to both her high-profile clients and their involvement with social and philanthropic causes. Her projects, from Fortune 500 companies to charitable efforts, include: consulting with Classic Communications on the Hampton Classic Horse Show; Nine years with Guiding Eyes for the Blind Golf Classic, a tournament with blind golfers hosted by such notables as Eli Manning; the Intrepid’s Fleet Week; Scholastic Art & Writing Awards; China Institute Executive Summit; NYC Green Business Committee, and theMotherHood.com. Moon holds a seat on six boards including: the Aspetuck Land Trust in Connecticut, The Equus Projects, and The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce.
The New York Women’s Agenda acknowledged Moon’s fine work and contributions with a prestigious Galaxy Award.
Moon hit the ground running early in her career at ABC Sports where her projects included horseracing, football, track & field, pre-Olympic Game coverage, as well as the Olympic Games in both Sarajevo and Los Angeles. Moon then joined Madison Square Garden Enterprises where she worked as Director of Communications. While at the Garden, Moon’s media expertise, savoir-faire and enthusiasm shaped thousands of entertainment, sports, music (500 rock concerts!) and special events. From the arrival of his holiness the Dalai Lama, to James Taylor and his environmental causes.
